Those issues that were not settled between the parties at mediation (see Bulletin # 394) are now before Arbitrator Flynn, who will have to render a final decision on each one.
The parties must simultaneously submit their arguments in writing on Friday, September 7, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. Once we’ve received the employer’s written submission, we will analyze its position.
Arbitration will take place on September 12, 2018 before Arbitrator Flynn, who will render her decision as soon as possible. It is therefore impossible for us to know the exact date on which we will get the decision.
We will proceed in the same way we did for the first decision. We will let you know the details once we’ve analyzed the decision. We will make the decision publicly available on our website when it is available in both official languages, so members can read it at the same time.
In the meantime, we will focus our efforts on preparing for this arbitration with a view to obtaining justice for RSMCs.
